New A&R Director selected for Regional Office

Ice Age proudly welcomes Herlon Robinson as our new A&R Director at our regional office in Louisville.

Herlon brings his extensive musical knowledge and tremendous eye for talent to the Ice Age network.  His knowledge of the midwest landscape will benefit Ice Age Records greatly as we expand into new markets.  Herlon currently works as the Music Director for one of the most prominent R&B/Hip Hop radio stations in the country.  His insight into developing local music artists created an explosion that produced unparalleled success for his city's underground rap scene.  Herlon is also an accomplished vocalist.  During his singing career he has been offered three major record deals and still performs, as lead vocalist and front man, for several local bands.  As A&R Director Herlon will be responsible for evaluating, discovering and signing the new talent for the regional office.  All unsigned acts can reach Mr Robinson at hrobinson@iceagemusicgroup.com.

JULY 10th -  Former Ice Age Recording group, Trickii (pronounced tricky), just signed a three year deal with Warner Bros!!  Warner Bros. originally contacted Ice Age in October of 2006 about the four person hip-hop/r&b girl group.  Negotiations between Trickii and Warner Bros. started in mid-November.  Finally, all parties are in agreement and the members of Trickii are officially part of the Warner Bros. Recording Company!

Trickii says a name change is in order to go with the image that Warner Bros. has established.  Currently, they are working on a song with Ghostface Killa and recording another song written by R&B star Ashanti!

June 30th -  

We fly high,  no lie......We Bowlin'!!

The Ice Age Foundation (IAF) Bowl-A-Rama took place on the last day of Black Music Month (June 30th).  All we can say is "WOW"!  A great time was had by all.  In association with the IAF, Ice Age Records contributed its support and artists to the event.  The event raised money to support local music programs in schools.   You can learn more about the IAF and how you can help by clicking here!

             June is Black Music Month

As of May 31^st, 2002, President Bush has proclaimed the month of June to be Black Music Month.  Recognition of this critical part of American heritage will be highlighted all month long with various events urging citizens to revel in the many forms of music from gospel to hip-hop.

June 1, 2007 - Ice Age Records kicked-off its new regional office with a gala celebration at Petrus Nightclub and Resturant in Louisville, KY.  Approximately, 100 people attended (standing room only!) in the two-story VIP lounge.  Guest were able to enjoy musical and spoken-word performers, a delicious buffet, a game of pool or a drink from the bar.  The event was also covered by Louisville entertainment weekly, Velocity.  You can read about it here!

Ice Age would like to thank everyone that was able to attend and even those who couldn't make it.  We appreciate the support.  Everyone that attended the event will receive Ice Age t-shirts!!  Also, a special shout out goes out to Jazz Poet Mike B. for setting up the venue.
